The answer
Checked October 21, 2026: EverBright, LLC is a Juno Beach, Florida company that offers residential solar leases and power purchase agreements (PPAs) through local installers, and it owns the system under those contracts.[1][4] Its privacy policy names NextEra Energy, Inc. as an affiliate, and a 2024 KBRA release calls it a NextEra subsidiary.[3][7] Customer support is 877-425-5201 or support@myeverbright.com, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern.[2] Lease and PPA accounts are managed in MyEverBright; a separate portal names Launch Servicing for EverBright financing accounts.[13][20] There is no class action against EverBright that we could find, but seven individual federal suits have been filed since December 2024.[18]
Tell us about your contract and see your options. We match homeowners with solar exit companies that pay us for inquiries. Our current partner, Solar Exit Group (Uso Holdings LLC), takes solar loans from any lender except Tesla, plus Sunnova PPAs; it does not take EverBright leases or PPAs today. No cost to submit.
Who is EverBright, and who owns it?
EverBright, LLC describes itself as offering solar and battery systems for homes and connecting homeowners with local installers. Its products are a lease (used where PPAs are not available), a PPA with predictable costs for up to 25 years, a Flex PPA where you pay only for the solar energy you use each month, and a Shift PPA in California that pairs panels with a non-backup battery.[1][4]
Ownership. EverBright's privacy policy refers to "affiliates, including EverBright, LLC and NextEra Energy, Inc." and gives 700 Universe Blvd., Juno Beach, Florida 33408 as its address.[3] That is the address NextEra Energy, Inc. lists for its principal executive offices on the cover of its 2025 Form 10-K.[5] KBRA's March 2024 ratings release for EverBright Solar Trust 2024-A says EverBright was organized as a Delaware LLC in 2021 and "is a subsidiary of NextEra Energy, Inc."[7]
What NextEra's 10-K does and does not say. The 10-K does not name EverBright. Its Exhibit 21 lists only principal subsidiaries and says NextEra Energy Resources, LLC includes 2,323 U.S. subsidiaries in the same line of business, so EverBright is not broken out.[6] We found no residential solar line item for EverBright in the 2025 filing.[5]
Licenses. EverBright lists NMLS IDs for EverBright R1, LLC (2361430), EverBright R2, LLC (2361435) and EverBright Financing 2023, LLC (2544376), California contractor license 1142359 for EverBright, LLC, and Illinois sales finance license SF.0001674 for EverBright R1, LLC.[3] You can look up any NMLS ID on NMLS Consumer Access. The BBB lists Everbright Home, LLC as an alternate business name.[8]
Which EverBright contract do you have, and what "cancel" means for each
| Contract | Who owns the system | What you pay | What "cancel" means after installation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lease | EverBright[1] | Monthly payments based on the total cost of the system, not its production[1] | Transfer to a buyer, prepay, or buy the system under the contract's terms; no walk-away right |
| PPA or Flex PPA | EverBright[1] | A per kWh price for the power produced, or only the solar energy you use (Flex), for up to 25 years[4] | Same as a lease: transfer, prepay or buyout per the agreement |
| Retail installment contract | You (you are buying it over time) | Installments under the contract; KBRA rated a pool of these in 2024 at $10,000 to $150,000 balances, 10 to 25 year terms and 3.99% to 10.99% rates[7] | Pay it off (refinance, sale proceeds or cash); installer defenses may travel with the contract under the FTC Holder Rule[11] |
Before installation the picture is different. Your agreement, and in many states a home-solicitation law, may give you a short window to cancel a contract signed at your home or by e-signature; the window is counted in days, so act in writing immediately and keep proof of delivery. See cancelling solar before installation and how to cancel a solar contract.
We do not advise homeowners to stop making payments or breach contractual obligations. Missed payments can trigger late fees and other penalties under your agreement; a dispute is raised in writing while you keep paying.
EverBright contact details: phone, email, hours, address
From EverBright's site, checked October 21, 2026
- Customer support (homeowners): 877-425-5201, support@myeverbright.com[2]
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern. Closed Saturday and Sunday.[2]
- Second number: 833-830-0475. It is the number the contact page's call link dials, the privacy policy's contact number and the main number on EverBright's BBB profile.[2][3][8]
- Partner support (installers, not homeowners): 877-465-2496, support@goeverbright.com[2]
- Mailing address: 700 Universe Blvd., Juno Beach, FL 33408[3]
- Chat: the contact page says customers can chat with Homeowner Support inside the MyEverBright portal.[2]
The displayed customer email is support@myeverbright.com but the page's email link opens support@goeverbright.com, the partner address.[2] Use the number and email printed on your statement when they differ.
EverBright login and payments: which portal is yours
EverBright runs two customer portals, and which one you use depends on the contract.
- Leases and PPAs: MyEverBright. EverBright's site sends customers to myeverbright.com (and the MyEverBright app) to view the agreement, billing and payment details, make payments and check the Performance Dashboard.[1][2][20][21]
- Financing accounts: everbright.youronlineaccount.com. This login page's footer names EverBright R1, LLC, EverBright R2, LLC, EverBright Financing 2023, LLC and Launch Servicing, LLC, and its consumer-rights link goes to Launch Servicing's disclosures.[13] Those three EverBright entities are the ones that carry NMLS IDs in EverBright's privacy policy, which points to this portal serving retail installment (financing) accounts.[3] Launch Servicing lists 877-354-2629, Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Central, payments to P.O. Box 845073, Dallas, TX 75284-5073, and correspondence to P.O. Box 91910, Sioux Falls, SD 57109-1910.[14] Confirm against your statement before mailing anything; Launch Servicing's site does not name EverBright.
Autopay, late fees and payment problems. EverBright's public pages do not state its late fee, grace period or autopay terms; those are in your agreement.[1] If a payment is disputed, keep paying the undisputed amount and raise the dispute in writing through the portal and by email so there is a record.
EverBright payoff and buyout quotes
EverBright does not publish a buyout schedule, a prepayment formula or an administrative fee on its public site.[1][4] The numbers come from your agreement and from customer support. What to ask for, in writing:
- A dated quote. For a retail installment contract, the payoff amount good through a specific date. For a lease or PPA, the prepayment amount (you keep paying nothing further but EverBright may still own the system) and the buyout amount (ownership transfers to you), and whether the agreement allows each one yet.
- The clause it comes from. Ask which section of your agreement sets the formula so you can check the arithmetic.
- Fees and filings. Any administrative fee, and how EverBright will release the UCC fixture filing on your property record after payment. See removing a solar UCC filing.
- What happens to the warranty and monitoring after a buyout, since EverBright no longer owns the system.
Comparing numbers? Our solar buyout calculator and the negotiating a solar buyout explain how prepayment and buyout figures are usually built.
Selling a house with an EverBright lease, PPA or loan
EverBright's public site does not publish a home-sale or transfer process as of October 21, 2026.[1][4] A practical order of steps:
- Read the sale and transfer section of your agreement. It sets the options: usually a transfer (assignment and assumption) to a qualified buyer, a prepayment, or a buyout. The contract controls, not a sales rep.
- Contact EverBright support early, before you list if you can, and ask in writing for the transfer requirements, the buyer credit standard, any fee, how long approval takes, and a prepayment or buyout quote dated to your closing.
- Tell your title company. Solar providers record a UCC fixture filing for the system. Ask EverBright how it handles that filing at closing and get the answer in writing.
- Give the buyer the agreement so they can decide early whether to take over the payments. Buyers of a home with a financing account should ask whether EverBright allows assumption or requires payoff at closing.

EverBright complaints and reviews: what the records show
BBB. On October 21, 2026, EverBright, LLC's BBB profile showed it as BBB accredited since July 21, 2023, with an A+ rating, 125 customer reviews, and 264 complaints in the last 3 years and 73 in the last 12 months.[8][9] The ten most recent complaints shown were filed as service or repair, order, billing and customer service issues. A complaint is a consumer's account, not a finding against the company.
Illinois consumer watchdog. On March 28, 2025 the Citizens Utility Board, a nonprofit Illinois utility watchdog, published a notice saying it had received several complaints about EverBright Solar going door to door across the state, including seniors who said they thought a 25-year lease was free and consumers who said they unknowingly signed an expensive contract. CUB told consumers to check Illinois Shines registration and the BBB, get more than one quote, not decide at the door, and report suspected deception to Illinois Shines and the Illinois Attorney General.[16] These are reports to a watchdog, not findings.
CFPB. We searched the CFPB Consumer Complaint Database on October 21, 2026 and found no complaints listed under an EverBright company name.[10] The CFPB takes complaints about consumer financial products, so it fits a retail installment contract better than a lease or PPA.[12]
Court records. A CourtListener search for "Everbright, LLC" on October 21, 2026 returned 22 federal dockets. Seven are individual consumer suits against EverBright filed since December 2024 (no class action), and the rest are installer bankruptcies in which EverBright appears as a creditor or contract party.[18][19] In the most detailed public record, Sher v. EverBright, a 77-year-old California homeowner alleged through her power of attorney that an installer's salesperson signed her up for a 25-year PPA she never saw, using an email address that was not hers, and that autopay withdrawals ran for two years; on September 10, 2026 the court denied EverBright's motion to compel arbitration, finding on that motion that she had not entered into the PPA. Those are her allegations and a ruling on one motion, not a final judgment.[17] Full list and sources: EverBright lawsuits.
Is EverBright going out of business?
We found no announcement of a shutdown, sale or servicing transfer on EverBright's site, and NextEra's 2025 10-K does not mention EverBright at all.[4][5] EverBright is still accredited by the BBB and still originating leases and PPAs through installers.[4][8]
Two facts people read as warning signs deserve context. First, on March 6, 2026 KBRA downgraded the Class A and Class B notes of EverBright Solar Trust 2024-A, a $288.49 million securitization of EverBright retail installment contracts, saying credit enhancement no longer supported the prior ratings under its revised loss projections; the notes had received timely interest payments.[7][15] That is a statement about bond investors' risk on one pool of loans, not about EverBright's ability to service your account. Second, several installers that sold EverBright contracts have gone bankrupt, including Freedom Forever LLC (Chapter 11 filed April 15, 2026 in Delaware, later Chapter 7). EverBright appeared in that case as a party and the court approved termination of a Restructuring and Performance Agreement between Freedom Forever and EverBright on August 6, 2026.[19] Your contract with EverBright is separate from the installer's bankruptcy; what changes is who fixes the system. See Freedom Forever bankruptcy and solar repair after an installer bankruptcy.
Your options with EverBright
- Get your full agreement and account history from MyEverBright or support, including the DocuSign certificate if you e-signed.[1]
- Put billing, production or sales-practice disputes in writing and keep paying while you dispute.
- Installer problems on a retail installment contract. Consumer credit contracts arranged by a seller generally must carry the FTC Holder Rule notice, which lets you raise claims and defenses against the seller with whoever holds the contract, capped at what you paid.[11] The rule generally does not cover leases or PPAs.
- Escalate to the BBB, your state attorney general, or the CFPB for a financing contract.[8][12] Illinois residents can also contact CUB.[16]
- Talk to a lawyer if you believe you never agreed to the contract or were misled; see solar panel lawyers and arbitration versus a lawsuit.

Frequently asked questions
Who owns EverBright?
EverBright's privacy policy names NextEra Energy, Inc. as an affiliate and lists 700 Universe Blvd., Juno Beach, Florida, the same address NextEra gives for its principal executive offices. A March 2024 KBRA ratings release calls EverBright a subsidiary of NextEra Energy, Inc. NextEra's 10-K does not name EverBright individually.
What is the EverBright customer service phone number?
EverBright lists 877-425-5201 and support@myeverbright.com for customer support, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern, closed weekends. The call link on its contact page, its privacy policy and its BBB profile show 833-830-0475. Installers use a separate partner line, 877-465-2496.
How do I log in to EverBright or pay my EverBright bill?
Lease and PPA customers use MyEverBright (myeverbright.com or the MyEverBright app) to see the agreement, balance and payments and to chat with support. A second portal, everbright.youronlineaccount.com, lists EverBright R1, R2 and Financing 2023 with Launch Servicing, LLC in its footer; if your statement names Launch Servicing, that is your payment portal. Use the number and address on your statement.
Does EverBright own my solar panels?
Under an EverBright lease or PPA, yes. EverBright says it owns the system and finances the installation. If you signed a retail installment contract, you are buying the system and paying EverBright over time; check the first page of your agreement.
Can I cancel my EverBright contract?
It depends on the contract and the timing. Before installation, your agreement and state home-solicitation laws may give you a short cancellation window. After installation, a lease or PPA generally ends only by transfer, prepayment or buyout under the contract's terms, and a retail installment contract ends when it is paid off. We do not advise stopping payments.
How do I get an EverBright payoff or buyout quote?
EverBright does not publish buyout fees or formulas. Ask customer support in writing for a payoff or buyout quote dated to a specific day, the written formula or contract clause it comes from, and any administrative fee, and keep the reply with your agreement.
What happens to my EverBright agreement if I sell my house?
EverBright's public site does not publish a home-sale process. Read the transfer and sale section of your agreement, then contact EverBright support well before closing to ask about a transfer to the buyer, a prepayment or buyout quote, and the fixture filing on your title.
Is there an EverBright lawsuit or class action?
We found no class action and no state attorney general action against EverBright as of October 21, 2026. Federal dockets show seven individual consumer suits naming EverBright, LLC since December 2024, most in California. Our EverBright lawsuit page lists them from the court records.
Is EverBright going out of business?
We found no announcement of a shutdown, sale or servicing transfer on EverBright's site or in NextEra's SEC filings as of October 21, 2026. In March 2026 KBRA downgraded the notes of EverBright Solar Trust 2024-A, a pool of EverBright retail installment contracts, citing revised loss projections; that concerns the bonds, not EverBright's operations.
How do I file a complaint about EverBright?
Start in writing with EverBright support and keep a copy. You can also file with the BBB, your state attorney general (Illinois residents can also use the Citizens Utility Board), and, for a financing contract, the CFPB.
See your options. We match homeowners with solar exit companies that pay us for inquiries; our current partner takes solar loans (any lender except Tesla) and Sunnova PPAs, and does not take EverBright leases or PPAs today. No cost to submit. Paid partner; it does not change our ratings.
